Murdie was appointed to the management team, by boss Stevie Rankin, during the summer of 2006. His experience as a player and as a coach has been influential in Stevies bid in leading the club to promotion. Murdie has had almost ten years experience coaching in professional football with St Mirren FC and currently with Hamilton Academical Football Club.
